Have a lot of onions & garlic, while they started off fine, lower leaves going yellow.
What is going wrong .... and how do I resolve.

    Hi,

They look bone dry, so would think a good and regular watering will see them revive.

Possibly add a bit of feed such as Growmore or Chicken pellets and some manure/compost worked in and around the soil to help retain the moisture as it looks very hard and clayish.

Not sure about this, when were they planted, have both overwintered.

The bit I find worrying is the yellow part appears to be in the form of a yellow stripe down the middle.

They were planted in March. I opened up plugs, filled with enriched compost and they sprouted & grew OK.
They have FBB so it’s no shortage of nutrients.

      Not been watering ...

do you have a strawberry plant bottom right ?

its the watering as you have mentioned , downside of them not growing evenly it stresses the plant out and you may have more that want to flower in the summer ..if they do just nip the bud off .Also I would use a water based feed that has quick release of nitrogen which will help green them up and get them growing again, FBB is very good but not very early in the season as its slow to give out the nutrients ...
