          Kids picked up some conkers, forgot about them (as they do ) in the plastic shopping bag, i found them next summer and all had good roots on them.
          Potted them up, gave 6 to a pal, kept another 8, all 6ft now still in tiny pots. Now what :scratch: :)

            When you see something like this you start to wonder why they spend so much time planting trees in areas where they are trying to regrow a wild woodland area.

              Funny thing is i must pull up hundreds of damned sycamore seedljngs every year. They grow in pots,gutters,the lawn,walls,paving cracks etc etc etc.:rolleyespink:

                Watch Herons Bonsai youtube channel for inspiration then have a go at making a bonsai forest group with the 8 trees.



                My thoughts are that there is somebody somewhere in the world who is desperately trying to germinate sycamore seeds (Acer pseudoplatanus) and having no luck. If only the two of you could meet...

                I have the same issues with the London planes (Platanus x hispanica), except, I see it as a sort of blessing and a resource which I intend to exploit.
