They're looking really good @pete. Where do you keep them in the summer. mine see in the greenhouse but I think it's too hot for them.

I've got them scattered around, some on windowsills, although I might move them out, some in my allotment greenhouse, a few outside, some in the back porch.

I think in full sun a greenhouse can be too hot in summer, so I put some on the floor, always seems cooler down there.

Outdoors in the summer and then a sheltered spot or the unheated greenhouse for the winter. Most Echeveria are surprisingly hardy if they're dry over the winter.

I've had a couple survive in the open garden last winter with no overhead protection.
They were under snow for about a week in February, so missed the worst of the frosts.

              Alive but dont look pretty.

Hmm, I think I should definitely move them out the greenhouse for now then.

I don't think that is setosa @Michael Hewett , I've got one very similar called "tarantula".

You could be right @pete but this is small and I understand Tarantula grows up to 20cm. I've had it a long time but it may grow bigger.

I agree @Michael Hewett , when you look at images they are pretty much the same in appearance.
Although if you say it has always stayed small you could well be right.

I think often these so called named varieties have more than one name.

Colanders as planters seem to be working ok for my Echeveria lot (grown from seeds and some from eBay).

True, it's a mixed bag including Aloe but I swear there are Echis in there too
