    It's still living on the stored food in the seed at the moment.

    Time will tell if it survives.

      Being metric beans the sticks had to be two metres high and now one has reached the summit.
      There's a race for second place, it'll be a close run thing.

      Soon be time to visit the supermarket to buy the 500g of butter for the first plate full. Mmmmm !

            Mine had to battle a horde of slugs which threw them back by a few weeks.

            But it seems the surviving beans now have developed enough slug repellant hair stubs to make them reconsider their food choices.

              I think I’m in a much lower league than the rest of you….:sad:

              No runner beans showing yet, so I’ve just re-sown….

                I put some in at this time last year and found myself picking them right till the end of October. So fingers crossed Sian you'll be ok.
