That pink and lavender colour combination is lovely. I’ve tried similar but a lot of my pink flowers are the wrong shade and it’s ended up
looking sickly sweet. I must stop buying pink bedding plants as When they turn out to be peachy pink instead of cool pink it ruins everything!

I don't know really I do get asked often how I keep it tidy, a lot of people seem to think I spend hours everyday tending to it just watering the pots at the moment is time consuming . But for the lawn needing regularly cutting I don't do to much but for pulling out the odd weed walking past and sticking some plants supports in .

I've been tidying the front garden, it was in an awful mess with tall grass and weeds - haven't been able to keep up with it this year.

The Astilbes have grown much bigger than usual this year ...

The Fuchsia is hardy Mrs Popple, and I've cut a lot of it away ...

It's nice to chat to people passing by when I do the front garden

Just a quick one of the BOP (Strelitzia) this morning.
I'll probably get round to boring you all with a few more later. :)

It is blazingly hot and bright out in the garden this morning! I took a photo of a plant needing identification, and then found some more plants doing their best to cope gracefully with the heat:

Shady corner with hydrangea Lanarth White, sedum Purple Emperor, lamium Beacon Silver, and zantedischia foliage: P7200453.JPG

Detail of the urn - the dwarf fan palm lives there permanently, this year I have also stuck in cuttings from a tradescantia zebrina houseplant and am quite pleased with the effect: P7200454.JPG

White 'Flower Carpet' rose - tough as old boots, and very floriferous. Purchased as ground cover but has developed into a substantial bush:
                P7200447.JPG
Stachys lanata and behind a 'Mango Popsicle' kniphofia, currently rather overshadowed by rose foliage:

Variegated Salvia Carumba, bought as small plugs last Autumn, need shaping but waiting until it gets established. Not sure of it's hardiness. @Victoria did you buy some too?

Thank you @Michael Hewett the cosmos was from a mixed colour packet so it was just by chance they turned out that way, but had a lot of very light ones that don't look so nice. Your Astilbes looks very nice.
