    Hi everyone,
I've just acquired a Persicaria Red Dragon that I intend to plant in a large pot. I saw a suggestion that Geranium 'Tiny Monster' goes well with it which I like the sound of as its long flowering however I can't find anywhere selling them.

I was also contemplating perhaps a golden coloured grass and a lime heuchera alongside as a contrast.

I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on my choices, any ideas on where I might buy the geranium and if anyone had any other suggestions that are budget friendly - I'm hoping the pot which will be in partial shade will have year round interest...not asking much I know! :)

Any suggestions or guidance would be gratefully received, thanks.

It would have to be a large pot as Red dragon is very vigorous and might swamp smaller plants. It does die right back to the ground overwinter, well it does for me, any frost kills top growth like dahlias.

This year I have Nicotiana sylvestris growing inbetween mine, I had to prune Red dragon back as it was shading it out.

Took this yesterday, they don't mind being pruned, must have removed about 18" of growth

Oh wow, thank you Nick, I don't know how I missed that as I've been running through all the centres that came up on good old google!

The drawback of trimming it back is you lose the flowers, they are a nice white contrast but very small.

Just like to add, if you like this Persicara and need to fill other spaces, cuttings root readily in a jam jar of water in late Spring / early Summer,
