:loll: Hey, I like those artistic "BBQ" benches! Isn't it strange how things look from a different angle? :thud: What a lovely kaleidoscope of wildflowers. And of course Foxy Molly is enjoying herself.

Those are very dark clouds gathering there for you, it looks as if you are in for some heavy rain.

The Buddleja i took the cutting from,..also the cutting of the Japanese Knotweed 'Fallopia japonica',..the latter is classed as an invasive weed.

Its 3 Miles from here to the water images below.

Hi Victoria,..it was the mass of elongated white blooms that attracted me to it,..there are only two of them growing in the wild along my walking routes :)

@Victoria ,..:wallbanging:,..gave further thought to planting the 'Japanese Knotweed',..admittingly an attractive bloom during August/Sept/Oct,..however on reading further its a sneaky species :),..has a way of shooting roots even under pathways,..worse than Chinese Lantern and Phygellius,..i might save the cutting to sow it in an unfriendly place,.. way beyond my location :psnp:

Pleased you have had second thoughts. I have never encountered it but there are many horror stories about it on the forum.

Please don't do that Philip. I've seen it take over a beautiful area on the Isle of Man and it's nigh on impossible to destroy it.

                          Is planting Japanese knotweed illegal?
The laws around Japanese knotweed are pretty simple. It is not illegal to have Japanese knotweed on your property, but it is illegal to allow it to spread into the wild or on to neighbouring properties. If Japanese knotweed spreads from your property, you can face fines or even a court case.

@Victoria and @Sheal ,..thanks ladies,..it really is a disaster of a species,..the area its grown in here is land that was used to make a barrier to prevent the river from flooding,..there are two bushes for now and it will be interesting to see what happens to them,..i will drop a hint to those in charge of the Council :)
