Solved ID please

    Been trying to ID this shrub. Is it a fatsia ? Looked at pictures on the internet but not sure they are the same. The seed pod on it has large berry like seeds in it, which are black in colour.

    It looks more like a tree paeony. :) Fatsias have umbels of white berries.

            I agree with Noisette. The photos look like a tree Peony to me. I grow a few and the pod looks the same as those on mine. With slightly narrower leaves than my hybrids my guess is the species Lutea. The flowers are yellow if you saw it flower Nigel.

                Definitely a tree peony. I've just been taking dead leaves off one of ours. :)

                      You're absolutely right! I should have said 'umbels of white flowers'. It's been so long since I had a flowering-sized Fatsia, I've forgotten what they do! Please accept my most humble apologies :)
