We are well into Autumn and the trees are only slightly giving the appearance Autumn,..no real show of shedding leaves as yet,..thankfully the garden has just had its first cold spell to cause the Hostas to wilt.

Beginning to show its blooms,..Heath Asters,..very tall,..up to 1 Metre high.

I grow potatoes in tubs too but not as many this year. I will have to take them out soon.
The Asters brighten up an autumn garden ...

Thanks Michael,..i will pass on your comment to Foxy Molly :).

Delighted to hear you sow the potato crop,..i am almost forced to sow mine as when the potato goes to seed its tempting me to go for,..grow your own :),..those Asters were in the back garden,..three bunches growing,..i have another in the very small front garden,..they flower a tad later,..amazing how front and back produce blooms at different times for the same species.

We had a few very cold nights and most of the Hostas were turned yellow,..however the one nearest the house doesn't have a blemish.

Due to the cold nights i have moved the Alstroemeria 'time Valley' closer to the house as its down to just one bloom today,..there are buds so the extra shelter might encourage them to bloom.

It could be due to different amounts of light and at different times of day. Plants tend to respond to the prevailing conditions.

Your Lobalias are still nice and blue, I hope the Alstromeria buds will open now that it has a bit of shelter, it's a pretty flower, I have never tried growing it.
Snapdragons are a fascinating shape aren't they

I spotted that, quite unusual wonder what it was used for originally or perhaps just a different style of plant pot?
