I agree Pete, if I was on my own I wouldn't bother with one, but as my Daughter & Grandaughter live here the washer is on daily.

T'other Half bought a new phone on Saturday and I always get his old one, all 18 months old, a Huwaei. He has spent the last three/four days with one or the other stuck to his hand doing whatever you do on them. :dunno: I only use it taking photos and controlling gadgets and the TV in the house. Now I have to learn a new one too. :hate-shocked:

I am on a service contract with some white goods, last year my wife pulled the door off the fridge ( no more shredded wheat ) took 2 weeks for a technician to turn up. In the meantime we had a door made up of our dogs biscuit bag with Blutac on the light switch, wonder how much cold escaped in those 2 weeks.
When my boiler is out of its free period ( 10 years ) I want to try and get a one policy does all, been looking but nothing looks good and what I want yet.

My mobile phone is ideal, in fact I can't do without it in the morning.

          wake up.jpg

I always get my wife's old phones when she takes out a new contract. It winds me up as she automatically swaps my sim in to her old phone, which I then end up faffing about with for days on end sussing it out.

I am useless when it comes to tech, if anything goes wrong I have to get the kids. If they are not about, I switch the tech off, then back on to see if that resolves the problem, otherwise I end up just resetting things back to the factory settings.

Someone told me that I should get an updated phone but I've never had to replace a battery in it. :noidea:

You will need either a battery backup or a mobile phone when your analogue landline gets replaced by digital VOI.

That is generally the first instruction when you contact our IT dept for help. You would have thought by now they would have learnt that this has already been done several times, before they get a call.

Shell seem to be really struggling for whatever reason - Tesco are the best of the bunch, around here at least. Very organised on Saturday morning when I went in.

Poland is 120k drivers short, Germany 69k short. No matter how this is painted, it is not a Brexit thing

The founder, Roger Hallam was also one of the co founders of extinction rebellion. He was the one flying drones round Heathrow a few years ago.

He was supposed to be running a profitable organic farm until weird weather caused all the crops to fail, which is why he is behind all these protests. He used to promote his business, Organics2Go on Facebook. Back in 2014 he posted that he had purchased the farm that he had been farming for 10 years. Yet he was advertising the organic farm for sale or for investment, the reason being, he was stepping back from the business to do a PhD.

So did his business fail due to weird weather, which is his reason for all these protests and that 20 people lost there jobs, or was the business not as profitable as he made out.

My moan today is energy suppliers! I got an email today from my energy supplier saying that they were putting my payments up... £213 per month!

I checked my last bill and it was less than £100, so whilst I can understand it going up in winter, there is no way in hell it is going up over double the amount. Needless to say, I have refused their revision and asked for it to be looked at again. Frustratingly, I did the meerkat thing and the quotes on there were even worse!

Ironically, only last month seeing everything on the news, I bought a new airer from Amazon for just over £30; 6-7ft tall, fold out racks and hangy bits, works a treat. I've put an embargo on the tumble dryer already, as it has been too much of an 'easy option' - as you will imagine, I am as popular as a fart in a spacesuit for being so hard with it, but hey-ho....
