Alpine Strawberries

    I was given a few pots of the above in the Spring and while they did not produce loads of fruits what they did produce were totally delicious.I was told they were Alpine Strawberries.
    They have put out loads of runners which I will pot up as going to grow these Strawberries again. They take up very little room so will grow them in a couple of big tubs.
    Slightly puzzled as looking on the net it states Alpine Strawberries don’t produce runners. If not Alpine what other varieties of mini Strawberries are there?

    I thought alpine strawberries were the same as wild strawberries which do produce runners. Might be wrong.

      Now I’m even more confused:heehee:. Bet you are right JWK, no doubt some marketing person thought Alpine sounded way posher than wild! Whatever they were really tasty and easy to find room for whatever they are.

          Roundup is a good product for them, but I still have loads.
          I hate the smell and taste of strawberries BTW:eeew:
