    A recently acquired shrub. No flowers but distinctive leaves with a leathery texture about 5cm long give or take. It seems healthy enough, I am curious to know more about it. Many thanks.

    Looks like it could be a Cistus, possibly C. purpureus

      After a quick check with a supplier image I think you have nailed it. As the flowers could be pink or white I shall have to wait for next spring to find out!
