Aster Pruning for winter?

Thank you @Spruce. They are planted where my low flow irrigation runs so watering will be no problem.

I feel like such a newbie because for years and because I didn't have the time, I went with quick colour by pretty much using only annuals. These perennials are great. So far I'm have been fairly successful with some my perennials including phlox, peonies, rhododendron (these are hard to keep over here and you never see bigs ones like I saw along the rail lines over there), hostas and rudbeckia.

Last couple of spring/fall seasons, anenomes, and medium sized alliums and primua joined the group as well as these asters.

This year I've added columbine, bleeding heart (trying to revive it as I boo booed), rose of sharon and and a few others.

I really hope they all come back next year.

The big puzzler is the foxglove. This is it's second year and it seems like it wants to go through another winter
