Nothing today outside, this morning the weather wasn't very good so I decided to do something else.

Went out this afternoon , supposedly visiting someone, but just happened to walk past the GC, came home with my backpack full with yet more bulbs......don't know how or why that happened.:dunno:

So guess what I'll be doing tomorrow.:dig:

Picked and shelled the last of our climbing french beans and dehyrated them to store over winter. Lifted the butternut squash - seed packet said to expect about 4 squash but I got 11 !
Raked up yet another bucket of pears and put them on the compost heap.

Not really gardening but I went with a client up north to look at some work for her cottage. Got chatting with a neighbour and he was very generous in giving me a bunch of canna divisions. :)

It's taken me half an hour, but I've just found out how to post a photo. Last time I posted pics on here I used Photobucket, but have given that up.

I dropped Photobucket many years ago when they wanted to charge for storing the photos - after saying they would be stored free of charge . Fortunately I only used them for transferring them to GC and not for storage but they have now faded out all the photos I had downloaded through them. For years now I have received an email email every week from them saying my subscription has run out.

The easiest way to download photos now is to go to where you keep them on your computer and to just drag and drop them into your post. It originally wasn't possible to do that but the server now resizes it automatically for you - unless each photo is way too big for it to cope.

Thanks for the tip Shiney, I really ought to have thought of that. I used copy and paste.

Did some more weeding and pulled up some of the cosmos that had finished.

Took cuttings of my sedum’s, they seem to root all year round, a lot of them had small roots so should catch quickly :blue thumb:

Found another sneaky Pelargonium that escape my 1st rehoming for the Winter session.
Helped hubs sweep up the leaves along our lane outside our boundary line. All bagged up and stowed away to decompose behind the greenhouse.Lovely stuff. :autlvs:

Planted out one of my ' why on earth did I buy them' bag of bulbs in the borders and half of the 2nd bag up into pots.

Dug up and potted up some tender Salvias for overwintering.

Went to the Garden Center and found a Lime Tree. It was about 1.75 meters tall, and cost 55 Euros which is okay but delivery is 43 Euros, which is not okay, but we don't actually live on their doorstep! T'other Half may go on his own to get it as it will need to be wrapped up as it is thorny and lay down.

Did buy a terracotta trough and two terracotta pots. Got a pack of Anenome blanda, the blue/pink/white mix which I will put in the pot with the pink Brugmansia. Also got five Lampranthus aureus for the base of the Avocado tree, a Brachyscome multifida for a pot on the old milk urn and a Portulaca umbraticola, all for on the "new" Courtyard.

                            Planted all upon return ...

Haven’t done anything in the garden today as it’s been too wet. I did manage to cut the grass on Tuesday as I’d hoped to. I think that’s going to be it for a good while now, as it was quite wet when I did it and don’t expect the ground to be getting any drier for some time to come. At least I got it done in time for the garden waste collection. The next jobs will be cutting back the dahlias and over wintering the tubers and protecting some of the more tender, semi hardy plants before they are affected by hard frosts.
