Solved Is this snowberry?

I spotted this growing through the hedges at my local doctors surgery. I bit of online research suggests it could be symphoricarpos mother of Pearl. The write up suggests it will grow anywhere. I am looking for something to grow along my path. The bed is approximately 2ft wide by roughly 8ft long. It is mostly in the shade. The sub soil is clay.

Would this grow in that spot? Would I be able to control the size of it as I wouldn't want to grow higher than 2 or 3 ft? Is it a plant that's easy to source in garden centres?

Yes, it looks like Symphoricarpos x chenaultii 'Hancock' and is also known as Snowberry although not the one with white berries. We used to plant S c "Hancock" on many of our larger landscape projects.
