Thought I would start a new Arts and Crafts thread for myself. I had one many years ago ...

This room screen I made with a Victorian screen stripped down and refinished in a Jacobean linen on the front and a green print on the reverse (which you can see in the crochet photos). The edges are finished in green braid with brass studs. This was taken some years ago on an old camera and moves to where I fancy it at the time.


This wall hanging is over our bed. Egyptian print on the front and cream on the back. It has polyfiller and overstitched.



Here are a couple of crochet tops I made and two afghans, given to charity.







These are two I have in my lounge ...



I should finish another lap afghan this weekend.

Thank you John. What's that fibre fabric called used for filling cushions etc.

 

Got it ... fibrefill.

 

@Victoria very nice indeed.

 

I believe Kapok is natural from the tree and Fibrefill is synthetic Polyester. It washes well on quick wash then hung and ironed by hand on the line. It hangs proud of the wall.

Now going to start on a scarf/shawl with this ...
