We have put our apartment on the coast up for sale. We have had it since 1997 so time to sell. In case anyone knows someone.

You may think this is silly but ... some years ago (2013) I put our friends' cabin at the river up for sale here. Someone in Spain read it ... and bought it. We are now good friends.

May have a buyer ... a retired Portuguese lawyer and his wife looked over the weekend and are asking for specific details from our lawyer which you only ask for if you are seriously interested.

Here if you commit you put 10% down on a Promissory ... which you lose if you back out. If the Seller backs out after Promissory, they pay the Buyer 20%, ie double and that never happens. It is quick here. We committed on our current house mid June and it was ours mid August ... and we were back in England then.

Not holding our breath though.
