I don't know if their is such a thread and maybe because I've recently lost my mum I had started to think of lost members from the forum.

As on such a forum Over the years you feel as though you get to know members as friends and sadly when they pass away you feel their loss as a friend you have never met but yet a friend you have had the pleasure of knowing in a different sort of friendship .

The first Christmas without a loved one must be the worst . I often think of the ones left behind, the sadness , families , a good friends loss
    and now feel this myself.

Armandii was one I think of often for his humour , his advice not only gardening but other aspects of life too. He was very kowledgable and gave good advice in many ways.
    as many members will know..

I'm sorry you lost your mother and can understand your sadness.
Personally I enjoy Christmas better now that I am on my own. I can do whatever I like whenever I like, and I don't have to stress about pleasing other people who thought I should 'enjoy' Christmas their way.
I still miss them all, but ....
