Good morning @Upsydaisy I'm on here early today ...
I'm glad you made it to your destination in time, in spite of the heavy traffic and diversion.
The nearest motorway to me is the M4. I live beyond the end of it.
Enjoy your day in the sunshine  x

Thanks Michael, still don't know what caused it ,we couldn't hear any sirens . It was a clear and swift run back home.
You have a lovely day too, I hope the sun is shining down on you. :) xx

        Good day,
I am a bit late. I read into the wee hours and the last time I heard the clock bong, it did so 4 times. At least I got three hours sleep. I hope I haven't passed over to the @shiney side, I love my sleep!

I believe that I couldn't get into REM is because I had a stressful day yesterday. The court house staff were being incredibly thick and it took a few hours to get to a person who was willing to trouble shoot and make sure the zoom conference communications lines were facilitated. This court stuff is on behalf of one son and not anything criminal so, blah blah blah... :)

@Upsydaisy I'm glad you got to your appointment on time.

I only have a webinar this morning and being online, I only have to commute from the kitchen with a cuppa, up to the computer.

Have a lovely day and cheers all :coffee:

          Aloha everyone,

I managed to get the pressure washing done and as it was a quick blast over the surface (but too mucky for the hose) I got it done in about three hours. I was delayed a bit as Sarafi kept getting in the way and demanding food. He got wet but he doesn't mind being wet and can swim.

My early Sainsbury's delivery arrived on the dot of 6.30 a.m. but there were a lot of things missing (not charged for) so I went off to Tesco as there were some things Mrs S needed that Sainsbury's don't do. There are only two routes from here to Tesco (only about seven miles away) and both routes have three sets of roadworks all with traffic lights no more than 400 yards apart. One of the roads will be closed for the next three days so will make the other route even busier. No co-ordination between them as they are different counties. :th scifD36:

After heavy frost it's a balmy 3C now - and sunny.

          Keep well

          Aloha!

Good morning ......gosh where did the week go!!

Another sunny day to come ,but a very frosty start to it.

Hoping to resume my Cinema visits with a friend, maybe next week. We use to go at least once a month...sometimes twice. Really looking forward to it, we want to see Befast.

            Have a great day.:spinning:

Good morning @Upsydaisy and everyone, it's an early look in from me again today

I do hope some warm sunshine develops for us later, or that it rains ... I can't abide this icy cold weather any longer, it's making me feel unwell.

It will be nice for you to meet up with your friends and go to the cinema @Upsydaisy,
              enjoy your day x

                Good day,
I had the Yawn Yawn whilst rolling out of bed, and then the big WAKEY WAKEY when I put the recycle and rubbish to the kerb. It is -25c with a "real feel" a lot lower.

I've decided that tomorrow I will be making @Michael Hewett recipe for boiled cake (I hope it is okay to substitute butter for the margarine) and then on Sunday morning during my show, the custard slices from the recipe sent me by @Upsydaisy. I'll give you some to take to the cinema. :)

And today, I will be playing in the work room. Going to make scrunchies to match my new tops.

                Cheers all :coffee:

I've just had a look at that and it's very similar to one I have for a boiled fruit cake, mine uses baking powder and plain flour (if I rememer correctly) and everything except the flour and eggs go into a pan and are bought to a simmer before being removed from the heat, you shoot in the flour and mix well whisk in beaten eggs and put in tin and bake. It calls for marg and I generally use butter instead without any problems, I also swap the white sugar for muscovado sugar, makes a darker cake and I prefer the flavour.

                      Good morning everyone.

                      The weekend is here!!

No set plans for today, it's going to be a 'go with the flow day '!

Good morning all!, Upsydaisy I’ve got a day like you, just going with the flow, tomorrow is my mums 86th birthday so I will be showering her with gifts and cake. Weather is dry at the moment so will have a potter in the garden and see what needs tidying :)
