I use it for playing my music, got a lot of playlists.
We use it for a alarm clock and hubby put a sound of a cockerel in for me.

He's also put in a routine to turn all the sound system on because he can't get down to the plugs anymore.

 

We ask her is it raining, she says no and we say it's raining right now and she says it's good for the plants or good for ducks or time to find the umbrella.

 

I'm sorry but I think that's stupid ... I don't mean to offend you but I really think it's stupid

and I use a phone to keep in touch with people and I use CDs when I want music.

Before long we won't be doing anything, we'll have 'alexas' to live our lives for us so we might as well be dead ...

 

There's nothing wrong in acting stupid sometimes, but you don't offend me.

 

When I'm in the kitchen I can't hear the CD player surround system in the living room because of the layout of the house, one of the smart speakers is on the sideboard just in the dining room and that's off the kitchen. In the morning I like to play music on the one upstairs when I have a wash.

I'm leaving this thread now, I find it depressing.

 

I am not into all this new tech, however I do recognise they do have a place in the modern world.
If tech can make someones life that little bit easier, not everyone is fit and able, then I am all for it.

What concerns me is these new device's, "Apple AirTag" a device that you would attach to your keys or wallet enabling you to track them should you loose them. Unfortunately there has been numerous reports to the police about these new gadgets been used to track someone's whereabouts without their knowledge.

Technology has moved forward in leaps and bounds, to fast in my opinion. It will probably end up inadvertently being its own worst enemy.

 

I absolutely hate those robots, they're just programmed to be very 'clever' and cutesy to the point where I want to take a sledgehammer to them and turn them into something unrecognisable!

This morning she wasn't responding and hubby asked her that and he was surprised of the answer.

 

I do have a iPod and a Bluetooth speaker but got fed up with charging it, so I up graded.
