Ooh, better than being squooshed into one seat!

We, like most here, believe the McCanns are totally at fault. Yes, can imagine it is torture, more so if they believe they are at fault. But £13 million for one child!!!

We watch Eurovision for fun ... and the cringe factor! So far I really like the Swiss guy.

To be honest I agree too Vicky.....you just wouldn't leave children, especially as young as theirs were alone even if they were all sound asleep.
I think the guilt must be all consuming.

        Good day
It is sunny again and the guessers have said we will be getting up to 77f 25c. And Friday and Saturday, more of the same.

I have a lot of seedlings still waiting to be planted so I shall do my Hilda Ogden this morning and be planting out as my hair dries. I want everything in place before the forecast rain on Sunday and Monday.

My friend enjoyed his birthday lunch and his three new hanging baskets which were all stuffed with plants and ready to hang. Also one large patio pot with 4 O'clocks. And he got a bag with the box of meringues, a Chelsea bun, fresh rolls and a baguette. That made me feel great!

#2 son popped around last evening for a visit and I went to bed after that. My cup runneth over :)

Have a lovely day all. Cheers :coffee:

[IMG] The guys have just left for lunch, probably going to the bar/cafe down the road for a beer and bifana (pork steak in a roll). They have worked non-stop since 9.30am and only stopped for a few minutes for some cold water. Workers here really work. T/other Half is getting some pictures.

Van and Munch just went out. Munch has been with me and Van under the bed since they arrived although the bedroom windows are wide open and he could be comfortable on the bed. :dunno: :cat-kittyandsmiley:

          Enjoy your afternoon.

Just realised how I worded that..:heehee:..our two seats are just two seats separated by a walkway from the main lot.
We don't usually sit on each other's laps at the cinema!!
            Just heading out now.
Oooh just caught your post Vicky, sounds like all is going to plan:dbgrtmb:

Why not? It would be nice and cuddly ... albeit maybe not comfortable.

The guys are back ... and Van flew on his belly past us into the bedroom, poor Poppet.:cat-kittyandsmiley:

They took one hour plus perhaps two water breaks. Will put up tomorrow what they did in the baking sun. Watching Eurovision now. :heehee:

That's the difference between over your way and here, they need the breaks due to working outside in the heat.
When I worked I officially was given only one break ( lunch ) too but seldom got it , because receptionists would book clients in without thinking that seniors had to eat and drink. It wasn't the clients fault so we just had to smile and get on with it. We did moan to the receptionists but it went in one ear and out the other with nothing seemingly to stop it!!:heehee:

On the plus side it made the day whizz by.:)

Yes like us in summer, we don’t have any air conditioning and no windows just the shop door to let a little air in while we are sweating our heads off in thick Tunics and pants and on your feet all day walking, still only one break :rolleyespink::campfire:

Good morning one and all, how are things with you?

Enjoyed our cinema trip yesterday, our eldest couldn't believe that I managed to get his Dad to come with me!!! :heehee: He did enjoy Downton when it was on tv though so didn't need much persuading.

Down to some serious gardening sessions now as planting out time is looming ever nearer.
So no more going out for the next few days :nonofinger: ;).

I've made a list of all that I would ' like' to achieve out there today....and it's looking scarily long!!:yikes: Fingers crossed my joints will be able and willing.:fingers crossed:

                        Have a super day.:)

Air conditioning!!! Never had that either! :loll:

But hot air.....plenty:roflol: With 2 banks of 8 hood hairdryers ( 16 altogether) and using handheld for blowdrys.....it was hot in summer!
We too had to wear uniforms + aprons + latex gloves for colouring, bleaching and perming . Even our staff room was hot with the washing machine and tumble dryer constantly in use.......no escaping the heat for us.

Fridays were hell 11 hours ..official opening times were 8:30am- 7:30 pm. But obviously we were there longer..preparing and tidying up.

                            Happy hot memories!!!
