    Hello all

I hope you are all well.

As a result of Landscaping the shape of a Border has changed and I now have an 11 Month Old Buddleia Buzz that I need to move.

Would this be easy to do?

    Any tips would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Kevin

Buddleia are very hardy, if buzz is the same I would say yes (apart from the digging) best done in spring or autumn with a pruning before hand if possible. Just my thoughts on buddleia in general if Buzz is a less hardy variety I'm sure someone will be along to advise you better.

    Hello @mazambo

    Thanks for the reply.

The Buddleia Buzz Cultivars are Sterile so they do not Self Seed everywhere, other than that I believe they are the same as Davidii.

I own one too and it took my wife three times to find the perfect spot. So it got uprooted three times over the course of a few months - The plant didnt even care.
Also our cats have made a game out of it to hunt butterflies that are sitting on our "Pink Buzz". They do that by jumping full speed right into the middle of the plant, breaking twigs and leaves left and right. Every other week i have to cut some of them that snapped right off.

Point of the stories - dont worry too much about it. Those things are fast growing and really tough. Dont be afraid to prune or relocate them.

@Kevin Cowans I wouldn't do it ATM because of all the heat we're having, transplanting's probably best done post-flowering IMHO when the temperatures start to dip and I would dig up as much soil as you can around it and try to move the whole thing as unobtrusively as possible. Buzz buddleia cultivars are a tad more delicate than the davidii species IME. :dunno:
