I noticed a conversation with @Upsydaisy & @pete about Asclepias and it got me thinking that i had some, so I've had a good scrumage around the garden and I think I've found 3, the 3rd pretty sure is one but will have to wait and see, the 2nd has a borage plant growing with it I think.

If you dont mind me asking, have they been a bit neglected only that would give us some idea how resilient they are.

I'd probably say very neglected, until I saw you talking about them I never even gave them a thought, and by neglected i mean no watering, no food, not much sunlight, but at some point i must have potted them on.This is where they were.

The one in the first picture seems to be doing well, give it some sunshine and feed and I think you might like it.

I've got some Asclepias on the go , sowed last year thought I'd lost them but I saw some shoots last time . They are lost in the plant stash at the moment.

That suggests they're slow growers, so perhaps Pete's, Upsydaisy's and mine just need time. They're also happy in drought conditions so suit my soil which is sandy loam.

Not sure if they would have been bigger with a lot more tlc and being in pots probably hampers growth so maybe you'll find yours will grow more quickly. I think I gave them the same mix as for lavender.

They're not showing any signs of growing quickly at the moment at 3 inches in height.

I think if I was really keen on having some of these in the garden I'd probably buy some plants, growing from seed is ok, if you are prepared to wait.
