My Volvo would not allow that. As soon as you selected recirc the air con went off. I left it on all the time and the only time I ever selected recirc was passing the sewerage farm by Rosyth Dockyard.

Mist again early this morning but it cleared very quickly. It's been windless, sunny and hot but right now the mist is dropping again. Humidity 95%, temperature 26C/79F.

@Sheal Where do you measure the RH? 95% seems very high.

I don't measure it Jocko, I take it from a forecast that gathers the information from a weather station in my local village. The only device I have at home is a thermometer.

Humidity was very low today down here, I measured 10% in the greenhouse at one point and the nearest local station said 30 to 40%

Being the cheeky person I am I couldn't understand @Sheal humidity readings so I looked it up.
It was very high but then she did mention mist early, when I think it was 95%, as usual it went down as the temperature went up but I think it was around 80% all day.
Any way it's 19 here and sunny.
Humidity now is reported to be 68%.

                      My sensor says it's 59% and a dial hygrometer i have says it's 66%.

                        Hi,

Thanks for the tip @Clueless 1 v2 it makes a lot of sense and I'll bear it in mind in 50 years when we next have some of this heat here in Yorkshire. It's very rare indeed I use the air con in the car. :)

Many thanks @wiseowl my friend; normally I'd fully agree but living in Yorkshire I don't think I'd miss our usual dire weather; this rare hot spell is simple wonderful on my old bones and is nicely charging my solar panel just below my cap.:SUNsmile::SUNsmile:

We might be in for a splash of rain.

                        Kind regards, Colin.

It hit 37C yesterday in our main garden. both the front garden and the rear of the back garden only reached 33C

We had a cool start early this morning so I got some gardening done. It's 24C now and rising quickly.

A warning ... if our passing thunderstorm reaches the UK (seems like it is passing over France now) it is full of Sahara sand! We has a couple of fleeting showers before lunch yesterday and all they did was leave a mess.
