I've done the meths thing but I seem to be doing it more and more now, they are on quite a few different plants and just can't seem to finish them off.
I guess you always end up missing one or two.

As with the Orchids the MB often hide deep down in the leaf joints, so loading the cotton bud with meths and then pushing it down into the joint should push the meths right in and get the little so and sos..

Not something we have tried but might also work is to use a fine mist hand sprayer to try and get it into those crevices, though not a recommeded practice for smokers ! :heehee:

Have you used a systemic bug killer like Bug Clear Ultra that should eventually get any you cannot see ...?

I've got some stuff that would probably sort them out but I never manage to spray all my plants at one time, there are just too many and it's not a pre mix so it's not really handy as such.
I usually apply the meths with a small children's paint brush so as to get in all the cracks and crevices but the likes of Streptocarpus they hide deep in the crown and on adenium you can spend an hour easily trying to get every one.
I'm not sure about spraying meths all over a plant, i wonder if it would damage it.
