          I took a trip down to Pitlochry on Tuesday. The first image here was taken in 2017 as I hadn't taken any of the town during this visit.

          This dam and fish ladder stand on the River Tummel which flows through Pitlochry. You'll be able to just make out the ladder in the foreground here. It's 310 metres in length and has 34 pools, three of which are apparently resting pools. It runs from the base of the dam which you can see on the right in the second image below, turns sharply and heads upwards to re-join the river there.

            Beautiful images and very informative,..34 pools and three resting pools,..fish care is certainly a top priority there,..nice area as well.

              Thank you Philip. :) There's a fish ladder at a falls not to far from where I live. I've seen the salmon jumping there but haven't yet managed to catch them on camera.

                            The council have decided to try and brighten our town.
                            They have decorated a few streets with these fabulous bright umbrellas.
