Anemone "Ruffled Swan". Very glad I bought this plant a few weeks ago, it's done a good job of brightening up the garden in the gloomy weather. Still got loads of flower buds on it too.

 

A few months ago I posted asking for help identifying a strange plant that had appeared in one of my pots and it was agreed that it was likely a Physalis. I recently put it in my cold frame to see if I can get it through the winter, and have just noticed that it is flowering!

 

Not so many fungi around now but here's some from recent walks

 

Almost looks like you took a tin of turquoise gloss paint along on your walk, @Scroggin.

 

Very true @ViewAhead , they're really vibrant and they seem to last for a while too.

Thankyou. Their inherent beauty & intricacy is so easy to overlook. One thing photography has made me do is to get down on my (increasingly creaky) knees and take a closer look.
