Anemone "Ruffled Swan". Very glad I bought this plant a few weeks ago, it's done a good job of brightening up the garden in the gloomy weather. Still got loads of flower buds on it too. 2024-11-10_11-37-59_cropped.jpg

A few months ago I posted asking for help identifying a strange plant that had appeared in one of my pots and it was agreed that it was likely a Physalis. I recently put it in my cold frame to see if I can get it through the winter, and have just noticed that it is flowering!

Almost looks like you took a tin of turquoise gloss paint along on your walk, @Scroggin.

Very true @ViewAhead , they're really vibrant and they seem to last for a while too.

Thankyou. Their inherent beauty & intricacy is so easy to overlook. One thing photography has made me do is to get down on my (increasingly creaky) knees and take a closer look.
