I keep my plastic watering can indoors on the stairs … so I don’t have to bend right down to the floor to pick it up! :blue thumb: It has lasted about 20 yrs so far. I have had my money’s worth out of it.

I have a really old plastic one that has been kept outside most of its life, no kidding it goes back to the early 80s.
I had to mend it last year, so took pity on it this winter and its spent it in the shed.

Why are you worried about it? If it doeasn't leak and holds enough water to do what you want then use it until it leaks, then replace it.

Plastic or metal inside or outside is purely down to your choice, outside you tend to want a larger can inside a smaller one.
My first was a galvanised two gallon one used for years until it started to leak. It was supplemented with a two gallon plastic and I currently have 3 plastic two gallons cans outside and three smaller ones inside. Good metal ones are too pricey for me these days.

I have various plastic ones and two metal, one from IKEA and one recycled from a neighbour because I like the look of it. I only use them outdoors because I don’t have indoor plants they are all kept outside and have been for years. I wouldn’t buy new plastic ones now trying to avoid buying plastic and I certainly wouldn’t buy from Temu but whatever suits you.

I've seen photographs of chopping boards from China with labels saying "Do not use as chopping board" so I wouldn't put too much reliance on their labels.
