I've made the thread a sticky, so it will always be at the top of Garden Visits, which may help.

I'd also suggest bookmarking a post in this thread by clicking on the Bookmark link at the foot of the post:
      upload_2025-5-9_19-34-42.png

Then give yourself a note that you will remember or to guide you and then select Yes for Quick Link - then Click on the Bookmark Button

      upload_2025-5-9_19-36-58.png

This will make the thread appear in your bookmarks at the top of the page:

      upload_2025-5-9_19-39-42.png

(You can see where I have bookmarked one for cheesecake.. I don't get my username from nowhere ) - simply click on the link to the bookmark and it will bring you straight to the bookmarked post! Whilst through time the bookmarked post may end up being in the middle of the thread, at least you will be in the right thread.

We visited Lanhydrock house and the glorious gardens today. The rhododendrons were out.

There were rhododendrons out and the gardens with their sweeping lawns, views of the sea and woodland paths were lovely to walk through.

The Japanese garden at Cowden, near Dollar Clackmannanshire Scotland. Still undergoing restoration since 2014. Widely considered one of the most important and authentic Japanese gardens outside of Japan. Well worth a visit if you ever find yourself up in the area, even worth diverting to there if you're north of the border. 20250512_120837.jpg 20250512_120052.jpg 20250512_115643.jpg 20250512_121923.jpg 20250512_123028.jpg 20250512_121941.jpg

Thanks, yes it is a long way off for most of us which is why I said "if you are up that way". That said I told some of the Apprentices at Capel Manor about it, after my first visit, and two of them went up and back in ONE DAY, mad . :yikes:

We’ve just spent some time at Rosemoor (fabulous!) , and whilst there visited The Garden House The Garden House
Thank you to @NigelJ who gave me the idea when I saw that he mentioned it. Sorry, no photos, but the many wisteria were outstanding! The whole trip would have been much easier if we’d travelled by boat…

You're not kidding @Golarne, Rosemoor to the Garden House is quite a trek!

Beautiful places both, though I've yet to visit Rosemoor. Love the Garden House and have been several times.
