Hi everyone. First time poster with a question. I hope you can help me. Is this Japanese knotweed? Its very fast growing and wraps around plants and the garage door frame. Grows back every Summer. If its not that, what is it and how to remove? Based in UK. Thank you.

Definitely not Japanese Knotweed. Where are you located @CeeJay_65?

It reminds me of Actinidia chinensis but I'm not sure. Someone will know

Never seen fruit, I cut it back every year as its incredibly fast growing. Is it usual to grow with such neglect in the UK? No flowers only the little white buds/leaves that I posted

            Its Knot Knot weed.
At first glance it looked like a begonia but now I'm not so sure if it wraps itself around things, could be Actinidia but the one I had had lots of red hairy stems.

I'd try training it up a support. It doesn't look like any native weed, more like something a previous owner grew, or seeded from a neighbour garden. Have you looked over your fence to see if it's growing next door?

Google lens suggests- crimson glory vine.
Do the leaves go red in autumn?

That looks like a good match. @CeeJay_65 I have a similar issue in my garden, I have a Virginia Creeper or something closely related. It's always been there since I've had the house; it used to grow over much of the building but I cut it off at the base when it started to encroach on the roof tiles. It still comes back each year, seems to be rooted somewhere inaccessible so all I can do is cut it off when it appears. It's not a difficult job.
