Butterfly/ Moth /Dragonfly Images 2025

I know that this isn't flying but it turns into a knot grass moth

 

Holly Blue.

 

In the greenhouse I have a potful of Sinningia tubiflora flowering and for the past few days I've observed cabbage white butterflies feeding or attempting to feed on the long flowers.

 

Holly Blue, don't get them often

 

Common blue I think.

 

Painted Lady was around again with the Admirals and Peacocks.

@On the Levels, just my bridge camera, my phone is as much use as a chocolate teapot for photos.

 

We had a brown hawker around the grape vines this morning. The name doesn't do it justice as with the sun it was golden.

 

Peacock on the Hibiscus and Gatekeeper on the Petunias.

 

I was sitting in our son's garden in Bristol yesterday and although there were lots of Ladybirds around the one insect to land on me was Purple Hairstreak!! a butterfly I have only seen once.
