I must tell you all about this family-run company. I have, over the course of the last couple of months, made several purchases from them. The most recent was an online order for some green wind break/screening fabric. I put in the order yesterday morning. They said that I’d receive it within 3 to 4 working days, by Royal Mail. Imagine my amazement when the postman turned up at our door this morning, A SUNDAY!, with the parcel in his hand.

I find R. Mail far more reliable than these courier companies who like throwing stuff over the fence/gate @Tidemark. It's great when you get really good service from a company though.
I had a funny little 'conversation' a few days ago when I got an email from a company saying I needed to update my account. I didn't recognise them, so I replied and said I was sorry but I didn't know who they were etc. A lovely lady called Rachel replied, saying they'd just revamped/relaunched the site and I'd bought seed from them in 2023. Oops! I apologised and said I'd completely forgotten, and she responded saying she'd done the relaunch that morning, but couldn't remember most of what she'd just done to it

They're called MoreVeg Seeds, and when I looked, I remembered it. They were very quick and the seed was good. Pity I hadn't remembered to buy from them later!

RM dont work Sundays in my experience, just three days a week around here, but they seem to hold stuff back so they can bulk deliver.
Parcel force may be different, but dont have problems with any apart from Yodel, they seem to employ similar people to Just Eat.:roflol:

I agree Yodel are hit & miss. I've never had a problem with Just Eat.

They do in some place's, most will come through with your Post but some parcels will come in another van, a bit like 2 posties 1 mail 1 parcels

As with most companies Royal Mail are dependent on their staff. Our current postman is amazing and wouldn't dream of throwing parcels over fences, however, when he is on holiday it's a different story!

Our postmen/women are also very good @kristie davies. Even when it's holiday time, and there's a temporary stand in, we rarely get problems with delivery.
It's Evri that are consistently bad here, and they're the most common delivery co. They took over from Hermes, and they're living up to their same reputation! The 'chucking over fences/gates' is therefore predominantly them. I presume they must be the cheapest co. for the sellers, but I often give feedback, and say that maybe if they treated the delivery drivers better, they'd get fewer complaints. It's not surprising that there's a huge turnaround of drivers.

DPD were always good, but I don't see them very often - again, probably much dearer than Evri.

I always think that UPS is an unfortunate name for a delivery company. Far too like OOPS.
