If you use a PC then the F5 key on your keyboard will refresh any web page you're on.
If you use Chrome as your browser then just click the circle with the arrow

They both refresh the current page

If the page hasn't changed after you refresh it, then that means it hasn't been updated.
If you're using a windows PC, F5 will refresh the page - it's its main purpose.

I tried f5 and I get a small slider at the bottom of the page come up, it adjusts the screen lighting.
I usually use the circular arrow top left on the page.

I use the circle/arrow too, but if you just want to see the current page on this forum again, for example, you can also use the recent posts option top right. Press New Posts first, and Recent Posts will appear.
If no one else has posted since you have it'll just show your most recent post until someone else posts.
I don't know if it differs depending on the browser and the device you use though.

I'm using a laptop most of the time, I've just read that to refresh a page with f5 on a laptop you have to press fn at the same time.
Possibly why it didn't work for me.

            Good point.
I use a full size keyboard with a PC so the F5 key just does a page refresh.
            I've never owned a laptop.

My laptop refreshes the web page with just F5 (pressing fn and F5 at the same time doesn't seem to do anything).

I've not tried mine since reading that, I did try just f5 on it's own and it didn't refresh the page.
                On my phone ATM.
