Some visitors to my garden

    That's to be expected - an area of land will support a certain number of foxes. Those who can't establish a territory will have to move further on or not survive.
    That's why foxhunting is unsuccessful at reducing the overall number of foxes. It just frees up another territory that a wandering fox can claim.

        I used to take care of a cat which lost its home opposite the road. I bought him a house, and had the hot water bottle ready when temperatures dropped below 0.
        Gizmo decided this year to live with the foxes.
        I think all animals around us know each other and live in their own world.

          Poor old Gizmo. I hope he's OK with the foxes.

            He is fine so far, but I think being at the end of his life, he must be 13 or so years old, and always had a respected relationship with the foxes around us, he is still doing well. He never was a house cat. He has lived outside all his life.
