@CanadianLori She was 2 when we got her so she's been here 13 years. It seems like she's been here for ever.

I buried her in the garden, in the pouring rain, in a spot near where she'd sleep under the shrubs on a summer day.
The house feels empty now but I've had a lot of support from family and friends, and kind messages on here are very appreciated ... xx

That is sad news, @Michael Hewett. Bella certainly lived up to her name - she was a beautiful cat. Fifteen yrs is a good innings and to live 13 of those in a home where she was so loved was fortunate indeed.

Oh Michael I'm so sorry. It's always heartbreaking when the time comes, no matter that we know it's the right time for them to leave us.

 

Thank you @JennyJB ... Bella was very unwell and it was the only thing I could have done to help her. Heartbreaking, but it would have been cruel not to help her.
