Well I have a little challenge... Which plants could I grow in dry soil and in the shade which is colourful? It's also pretty close to a conifer too; basically a bit of a dingy corner that needs a splash of something other than a few ferns which have sprung up.
    Help me please!!

    Olá loofah.

I agree with roders here ..... did I really just say that ??????

I have both Ajugas, normal and varigated and they love my dry heat in the shade .... but they do like me to water them occasionally. :)

Depends how dry is dry. Maybe Vinca Major? Or Calendula? Or Centranthus?

Too hot to think here at the moment !

    cheers

Roders and Lol has the right idea for your shady corner Loofah I have three types of Ajuga's 'Burgundy Glow' a stunning mixed of colours, 'Artic Fox' pale grey with cream and the 'normal' Ajuga 'Caitlin's Giant' a dark mixture of purple/browns.

Ajuga's are at their best in the shade as it keeps their stunning colourful leaves as if sited in the sun they tend to colour fade another thing is that they are brilliant ground cover too.Hel.xxx.

Sounds like we have consensus! Now I just have to decide on the particular type...

Thanks all, a help as always!
