    pete, I'd say another day older and deeper in debt but that's not true ... the UK Government now HAS TO PAY ME ... how cool is that? but I have to fill out a 16 page form and send my passport and driver's license (of which I don't have a UK one any more) but they will accept my ORIGINAL birth cerificate and marriage certificate (what this has to do with anything is quite beyond me) as I refuse to send my passport and the Portuguese driver's license I don't have yet because I forfeited the UK one ..... and if I ever go back to the UK I can ride the bus for free (how exciting is that, I ask?) AND I get a winter fuel allowance even though I'm here in the warmth (because I PAID MY DUES FOR IT) so I'll never be cold ... it will pay for my logs for the fire. :thumb:

    I hope it's easier for you guys when you retire ... because it's a pain in the a'se as far as I'm concerned but I'm going to get EVERY penny out of everyone I paid it into all my working life.

    Should this be on the rant thread?

    PS I must add that the commotion is with a personal pension (ie sending passports etc even if you live in the UK ??????) and not the State one where I only have to fill out 12 pages of everything they already know about me..

    Why am I living in Portugal I ask, yet again ?????????????
