A really good competition with some very interesting and photos. Thank you Nathan for hosting it so efficiently.
    My votes are as follows;

1st Marley Farley's Hoverfly on Hebe because it is a very well composed close up shot and you can almost see the Proboscis sucking up the pollen.

2nd Fran's Ants because it's an exciting and unusual photo. They all look like they are moving for the same purpose almost as if they are about to escape.

3rd Marley Farleys Frog because it captures a cheeky chap popping his head out of the water. It made me laugh.

[IMG] Well this is my choice everyone.
    1st. Charlie's yellow bug.
It is so clear & crisp, Shiney bug on a shiny leaf has such a luxurious feel to it.

    2nd. Fran's Bee.
Just so perfect, you can almost hear it buzzing away.

3rd. Charlies 1st hoverfly on the petunia.
It is so crisp, the colours so vivid, the hoverfly is so clear too, beautifully balanced photo.

Well done everyone some smashing photos..! [IMG]

oh dear this was so much harder than i thought it would be, it was difficult to get it down to only 3, but here is my choice,

    1) Frog by pete2255 its just a perfect pic, and a lovely subject, almost as if he's posing for the camera.

    2) Yellow ladybird by Charlie, again a perfect pic, and the colours are gorgeous,

    3) Fairies by marley farley, its looks just magical and ethereal,

but they were all fantastic Well done all the entrants

    1. Pete's Peacock butterfly - because one sees so few of them these days

    2. Nathan's spider - just because I love spiders and he's so big and hairy (the spider , I mean!)

    3. Nick's second dragonfly. Just beautiful!

    1. Nic's 2nd Dragonfly - It is such a clear picture.

    2. Bayleaf's Forest Pansy - I also have a bit of a thing about planting things where this sun can shine through.

    3. Pete 2255's Toad - He does look at home doesnt he?

I loved looking at everyone's photos. They were all brilliant and it was difficult to choose my favourite three. But here goes:

1)Marley Farley's first photo...the hoverfly on the Hebe.

2)Bayleaf's "attempt at being arty f**ty!!!"...the water picture.

    3)Nathan's caterpillar eating the tomato.

Sorry to be late with my vote peeps, have been very busy. But here goes my 2 pennies worth.

    1st. Pete's Frog - Great clear picture.

    2nd. Steveb's Squirrel - brilliant clear picture

3rd. Charlie's Yellow Ladybird - Very good colours, lovely picture.

All that needs to happen is final scores to be added up. Remember 5 points for a 1st place, 3 for 2nd and 1 for 3rd (I will add them up myself, but if someone else does as well, just in case I make a mistake ;) ).

    Nathan.
