shiney, robert is hanging around but i think andy e has run off with fright too much for him, yes another few cars would be very nice, some jewellery, choccies, perfume to start with, start getting those pics dowloaded of our pressies boys :D :D

shiney, never believe this just had our kandy call me from her mobile all her electricity is off since 6.30 the whole village,s elec is off .
she said for me to say hi to all, she is having to cook by candlelight :D :D as she has an electric cooker, all her vegetables from her allotment are in the freezer so that could be a disaster iff the electricity is off all day of longer, her computer and lap top are down.
so as soon as the electricity is back in operation she will be back. love kandy :D

 

KANDY so sorry to hear this, you should be ok for elect. off for 4hrs. wrap them up in news paper as much as poss.

Hi folks.Well what a day!!Just got down to catching up with my ironing,when pop every thing went off,just managed to iron half a shirt as well.
I was right cheesed off I can tell you.No micro porridge this morning,so had to go back to the old weetabix...even had to call the pipe man{hubby} in to light the gas hob,so I could boil some water for my one and only mug of tea of the day.
We have horrible electric ovens that the builders put in,with gas on the top...electric cookers are my one pet hate.I am either cremating the stuff,or it drys to nothing...bring back gas...
Anyway, thought we would be cooking by candle light tonight, but have since found out,that it was back on at 10.10am yipee.

It just shows how dependant we have become on simple things like electricity.I expect someone forgot to pay the bill or feed the meter.I heard that a lot of the surrounding villages were cut off as well.At least it will be something to chat about on the village forum.It might even make the news..I think not.

When we had a burst water pipe earlier in the year or late last year, we were without water for over two days.No washing, showers,or water to drink.We all had to trot off to the shops and buy some.Eventually Anglian Water sent a water lorry round and we all got six two litre bottles free...big deal,when we were nearly dying of thirst.

Shiney,you are not the only ones to have good weather on holiday,why do you think we had the heatwave when I was away in July.When we arrive back after our holidays all our friends think we have been abroad,and cannot believe we have only been to the Isle of Wight.Remember the other year when Cliff Pilchard was singing to the crowds at Wimbledon? we was on Wight sunning ourselves.You know what they say about the sun always shining on the ritchouse{I give up with the spelling of that word, but you know which one I mean.

I cannot believe you haven't asked us to make up the numbers,now that people have dropped out!!
I have a book of walks I could have tried out.

Still we can't afford to stay in posh Hotels when we go away.We have to slum it on a camp site.
Anyway hope you all have had a good day in whatever you have been doing whether it is Poo Sticks on a bridge like Shiney does or all the other things my friends do..

I see the old boy is still hanging around,though I ought to be nice as he hasn't gone away yet,and he did welcome me with open arms.

Kandy don't worry yourself about the Lakes with old Shiney,I will look after you while he is away.Out of sight out of mind so they say.He doesn't seem to mind leaving you all,so he probably hasn't got a favourite one,unless he likes Blondes
