    Lovely pictures, but sorry I can't identify the flower, beautiful though it is. Have you got a picture of the plant in its entirety.

    no sorry i have not,maybe i should start identifying them beforew i photograph them.thanks for looking.

    Hi DS Looks like a form of Tagetes to me (marigold), but its hard to tell without seeing the whole plant. Where was it taken? & When? Any other clues at all? Tis a fab photo, but I agree with you, especially as your pics are so good- would be a good idea to find out what you're photographing! lol

    Hmmmm,
    It looks suspiciously like one of the Tagetes family,maybe one of the 'single' African/French type--possibly 'Pascal' or the trusty 'Naughty Marietta'
    Did you take any pics that show the foliage,or can you recall what it looked like?
