    Good morning Woo and everyone,

We have woken up to a proper amount of snow as well this morning Woo but don't think I will be going too far today apart from going to see about having my luxury pedicure done this afternoon {Birthday prezzie voucher}.I would have walked round to the house but as I am having nail varnish put on my pinkies have to wear sandals and there is no way I am walking home in sandals with bare feet in the snow:p

Enjoy your walk in the snow Woo and hope you are still keeping warm Shiney:thumb:

    Have a good day everyone:)

Good morning woo, Kandy and everyone,

Woo, I hope you and the girls had a good time rolling in the snow :hehe:.

Kandy, it sounds as though you will enjoy having your paws beautified :lollol:.

Even here in Shineyland we have had a little snow. It is just enough to make things look white but no more than half an inch of it. It looks as though it has frozen solid on the car so I will have to work at it before I go out. I think I shall do what they say you shouldn't do - start the car and let it warm up for a while so that it will be easier to get the frozen snow and ice off of it.

    Have a great day :D

    Evening all :luv:

Enjoy the pedicure Kandy. I had one once and I felt so embarassed at my swollen feet poor girl!

We have had quite a bit of snow here in Norfolk and I don't like it because the paths are all ice and I am scared I will fall :help:

I have had fun here- I survived a weekend of dinosaurs and "making things" -he was very good!
I went to the dentist last week, had two fillings and the bit between...eating my flakes this morning I heard a crack...the side of my tooth has come away leaving a sharp jagged edge which has cut my tongue.
I went to the hospital again today and tomorrow is hospital again and dentist again  OH said why don't we buy a house between the dentist and the hospital..

    Good morning everyone,

Jazmine the pedicure was bliss but too long sitting on a hrad chair and my lower back kept going into spasm, not nice at all but at least I now have soft tootsies and nice red sparkly nail varnish on them ready for Christmas:DSorry to hear you have swollen leg problems. My friend has heart problems and has spent years sitting and not moving about so suffers terrible with swollen legs and ankles:(I've tried telling her that she needs to keep moving but I think at 71 it is a tad too late to be of use to her:pGood luck with the dentist and the hospital visits.I am having to have a new plate made as my old one broke so is costing me £198 for a new one, what with that and the new bed could have done without it before Christmas:p

Shiney not sure if I got pinkies wrong yesterday, couldn't remember if they are your fingers or toes, but it was my feet i had pampered:pSounds like you had slightly less snow than us but at the moment we have had no more and they are talking about rain for the weekend:(

My fingers are like blocks of ice at the moment so will have to start going to bed with gloves on to keep them warm:D

They are just talking on the telly about Portugals finacial affiars, but I think if they need any help perhaps Bernie Eccolstone can help them out considering he is worth £1.466 Billion:p

Anyway, looks like we are not going to have any more snow today so will have to wait until tomorrow for the next dollop:D

    Have a good day everyone:luv:

    Good morning everyone,

Well, I've been working out in the garden with Tracey this morning. It didn't feel too cold with me wearing my compression stockings, socks, thermal long Johns :hehe:, warm trousers, thermal vest, thick rugby shirt, jumper, scarf, coat and gloves :lollol:. We are cutting out some of the lawn to make a bigger flower bed. I've now left her to dig out the conifer roots and dig in the compost whilst I have my porridge.

Then Mrs shiney and I are taking our cars into the main dealers for a free health check on them. Even if they find anything wrong, Mrs shiney's car is over 10 years old so they are bound to find something not right, we won't have them do it. They charge much too much labour costs. Our local garage, who have been doing our cars for over 20 years are very good and half the price. :thumb:

Keep well, and warm, and have a great day :D

Good evening all! Well, I certainly hope nobody has had too much travelling to do in all this weather! We are of course 'stranded' at home - no getting out of our valley at the moment - only two streets heading out - and they are both very steep uphill, with another steep downhill and uphill to get out onto the main road. We've all just sat tight today and enjoyed the snow :)

Felt bad for a neighbour yesterday - they were seeing if the furnace repair guy could get out and checking the roads for him - his wife is home from hospital after having had chemo for breast cancer, and they had been five days without heating!!!!!! He wasn't sure if the guy was going to be able to repair their boiler - so we prepped for house guests - but he was able to repair it. I found it unbelievable that when they've bought a new furnace four months ago, paid for the '24 hour service call guaranteed service', that they were made to wait 5 days - especially with someone so vulnerable to illness in the home.

Hoping to see the mailman sometime soon - hasn't been down here all week - but I need my new passport for next Friday!!!!!!

Going to try and attach a pic of our snow.....kids had loads of fun in it today :) Keep safe everybody :)

    Good morning everyone

Running a bit late this morning as I have been busy making sure all the pets and wild birdies are well fed and looked after:DI've also had to clean the kitchen windows inside and out as I was starting to struggle to see out of them and was annoyed as I had my Reed Bunting feeding again so wanted to get some more piccys:D

Woo lovely snow photos but sorry that it might be causing you problems with getting out and about.:roll:When I heard that we were in for some bad weather I went with Mr Kandy to get some salt for the paths and also built up a stock cupboard with tins of extra stuff we might need if the snow was too deep.At the moment we have got off lightly as we haven't had as much as you or other places in the country but our roads and paths are still lethal to walk and drive on:(

Anyway, just off to pot up some hyacinth and allium bulbs so hope you all have a great day and please wrap up warm if you need to go out:)

    Good morning everyone,

We are still fortunate to have had only a little snow so the gritting has been fairly effective :thumb:. We have no more than a couple of inches of snow in the garden but the temperature is -4 at the moment.

It must have been a dry night as there is no ice on my car :gnthb: so no need to do any scraping before I go off to my charity bridge event at lunchtime. I'll have time to get home and cook a quick dinner before going out to the bridge club tonight. It's a tough life :hehe:.

I'm going to start some of the cooking as we have friends coming tomorrow afternoon and I shall be busy most of tomorrow helping Mrs shiney. She has a stall at a Christmas fair tomorrow and hopes to sell some of her glassware.

    Have a great day :D
