Lovely picture woo :thumb:. I was trying to make out what it had in its beak

One of our pheasant chicks seems to have decided to be a male :)

Are these pheasants that visit your garden Shiney? I do love the male pheasant - such a beautiful looking bird :)

Natalie, yes, they are our garden visitors. They have been visiting us for generations. The most we have had in the garden at one time are three adult males, seven adult females and a host of chicks. :gnthb:

Oscar never bothers them. From autumn onwards the adults (varying numbers) spend hours each day in the garden. One year they laid eggs in the Jerusalem sage by the patio - there were 13 eggs but they abandoned them :(

You've done it again,Woo or should I be calling you, Birdman? You seem to have a great deal of access to birds in order to get these images.

Hi Kath,is the water close to where you live? Our nearest water is about nine miles from where we live so it is a good eighteen miles round trip so if we go over there we usually go at the weekends when we are going to cycle round it.:)
