Hi, I purchased this plant last year (late summer) and it flowered, this year it has self seeded itself all round its container and has come up again, but I can't for the life of me remember what is was called!!! It resembles an orchid and a salvia and maybe a viola?? I'm confused!!

Antirrhinum, an annual - nice to have it self seeding for you :)

Hi Rachael and welcome to the forum.

I would agree with SussexG - Antirrhinum (snap dragons). Most people grow them as annuals, but they will usually come back next year, and as you have found out they will seed as well.

Have you snapped them though? The kids love it as it's just like a mouth with teeth. Squeeze a flower gently at the sides, where the 'joint' is, and the mouth will open.
