Looking for ....

    a tree to replace one we lost in the bad winds...I am looking for a tree around 10 to 15 Feet..colour changing ornamental......it can be caught by the wind, although very sunny spot in front garden.It has been suggested a Robinia..corkscrew hanging appearance...If not please any suggestions much appreciated.....

    Hi littleorme. Unfortunately the Robinia has brittle branches that can snap off in strong winds, which is why I can't grow one.
    How about an Amelanchier canadensis, it has beautiful white flowers in spring, red berries in Autumn which are edible and the leaves colour up nicely before they fall. It gets to about 10 - 20ft.
