I have a large bamboo-sure its a fargesia -in a big container. The plant is 2 years old and last year threw up loads of new shoots. I have watered it when we havent had any rain but have noticed that an awful lot of the leaves have really turned brown round the edges. Is this something that they do or is it somehow failing??

If it`s outside L-G it is probably suffering from wind scorch or frost damage it should recover come the warmer weather. I would be careful when watering during the winter as this can make matters worse.
