What is this plant? U/D!

    Hi - can anyone identify this plant - its leaves are quite pretty but no sign of a flower yet!

    [​IMG] Hi Marge, maybe a Polemonium, Jacob's Ladder family. There are several different ones. I have some blue pearl.. [​IMG] Anyone else any ideas?????

    Well, I had a look in one of my books and that was as near as I could get identifying it as Jacobs Ladder! I wont pull it up yet then!! ;)

    Unless the photo is deceiving the leaves look alot bigger than my Jacobs Ladder. No use to any of you, but I cherish mine as my husband proposed to me at Jacobs Ladder on Kinder. He said he wanted to check I didnt climb like a girl before he popped the question, apparently I dont, not sure if thats a compliment or not.

    [​IMG] Oooh no..!! don't pull it up yet Marge...!!! Wait & see what the flower is first... My blue pearl is just starting to flower at one end of the garden but not at the other yet..!! :confused: If it isn't raining later will dash out & take a photo. There are several different kinds as I say, so will be interesting to see which, yours is... [​IMG]
    ;) Think I would take it as a compliment Sharon... :D

    Yes I agree polymonium, but loads ov varieties, mine go mad so I get rid, just one other thought - "Egge and cress" plant, I am sure someone will come up with propper name.

    Er, hate to disagree, but I wonder if it is Goat's Rue? Galega officinalis.

    Just thought Id let you all know this plant is a centaurea - I didnt recognise it even though I planted it last year [​IMG] :D

    I put a picture of goats rue on the wildflower section..it does look like it but jacobs ladder is also similar..how tall is your plant as my goats rue is about 5 foot tall and its in flower now..

    Wildflower - yes its very similar - mines about 2 foot tall

    MF - very similar to Jacobs Ladder - the leaves are really interesting I think....glad I didnt dig it up!! ;)

    Whooops I ought to have recognised that, we have a garden full of it. Mind my excuse is that the leaves on ours are much darker green than that!

    [​IMG] Yes, think it was the pale leaves that made me think Jacobs Ladder too, now it is greener easier to see... :D
