    Evening All

Hope that we are all doing well?

I am guilty of not visiting here as often as I would have liked to. So as they say Mea Culpa!

It's been an incredibly busy period especially offline with a major acquisition having taken up a lot of my time which is now coming to fruition.

I have also been having a few health challenges in terms of something that is looking like a mixture of Diabetes and IBS or that wheat allergy thing that I cannot spell! So you can imagine the changes we are having to make to our diet! In fact my better half and I have both lost about a Stone in weight in the last 12 weeks LOL and we are spending a lot more time out on walks and the like.

Anyway I promise to be a more frequent visitor in the coming months.

    Take care

    Paul

    Glad to hear it Paul.
I recently started work again and the other day an eldely couple came into the tea room with their grandson. They had been to the farm shop and called in for a cuppa. The boy was only allowed a bottle of water as he suffered with the wheat thing you can`t spell.Grandad asked for a fancy with his tea but grandma said no as it wouldn`t be fair on the littl`n.I didn`t know who to feel more sorry for.
Then a few days later we had Tyne Tees News and a couple of local tabloids in advertising the salami my new employers are trying their hand at.Anyway, the reporter from T.T.N said she also suffered with the wheat allergy thing and so only ordered a cappacino. It just seems to be more common than i thought.?

Thanks all for your really kind comments and welcome back

I think you are right the wheat intolerance/wheat allergy seems to be more common that I ever imagined - it also seems like more people are being diagnosed with it later in life! It's absolutely amazing the number of products that have it in as a bulking agent - everything from stock cubes to sausages!

Mea Culpa - I have sinned/I am guilty - it's my training coming out LOL

    Take care

    Paul

Good to see you back PaulD, it's surprising how many people have the wheat intolerance I assume it's coeliac disease or sometimes called gluten sensitive enteropathy this probably has caused your i b s now you have been diagnosed you can control it, good luck, look forwards to your posts.

Thanks walnut much appreciated. Yes we are learning to control it and discovering what I can and cannot drink.

I have just been reading about which alcohol I can and cannot drink and it appears that champagne is okay LOL

    Take care

    Paul
