    HELLO, I'M NEW TO FRUIT & VEG GARDENING CAN ANYONE HELP ME. I MOVED HOUSE 2 YEARS AGO AND HAVE STARTED WEEDING, AND PREPARING MY GARDEN FOR GROWING A VARIETY OF FRUIT & VEG. WHEN I HAVE STARTED DIGGING I FOUND HALF OF MY GARDEN FULL OF SAND? I DON'T KNOW IF ITS OKAY TO GROW FRUIT & VEG IN OR NOT. ANY ADVICE. THANKS :rolleyes:

    Add plenty of organic material and dig it in well, this should help.

    You can have some of my clay, and I'll have some of your sand. Then we'll both be happy.
    Drying out in the summer will be your problem.

    the sandy part will gow good carrots, just add some of the soil to it mix it in an bingo the perfect patch for carrotts
