Been having trouble so this may appear twice!!

Was just in the garden and this is the only flower to come out yet and I dont know what it is. Could it be a whitebell? If all the plants in that bit are the same when the leaves are bruised it smells of onions. Please tell me its a nice plant and not some horrible terribly invasive plant as there are quite a lot of them covering a few metres!! Sorry if only the link is here but I havent got the hang yet of posting the actual photo.

    Happy holidays to you all!

Looks like the masses of wild garlic along our near by stream. They taste lovely on winter salads..not as stong as cultavated stuff.
They are invasive but after Spring they die back and disappear.

After the replies I did a bit of a google on wild garlic and now am not sure if it is or not. this site http://www.floralimages.co.uk/palliuursin.htm and a few others I looked at had pictures wherby there seem to be multiple flower heads but on the plant i have it is only one flower per stem and the leaves of mine are very long and strap like. could it be another form of garlic ??

Don't think I dare say, that is why I did not post and I presume you mean second picture. It is a galanthus, has a huge bulb, people ask me for it all the time and I just give it away and still I have loads. Have to say it is very pretty though when very little else is showing.

so if it is giant snowdrop it will have a huge bulb, if it is garlic it will stink!

    hope this is of help.
