I have 2 shrubs which i am trying to id and would be grateful if anyone can help. Will do them one at a time to save confusion. The first one is this link http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e173/bikertart/unknown2.jpg[/IMG

The shrub is about 1.5 metres high and if I recall the flowers (which is the brown dried up thing in the photo) is pink/mauve and quite fluffy looking. maybe better if i wait for it to flower though.

You missed a square bracket off the end!
The flower looks very like a buddleia. Did it smell, and grow quite leggy? Not too sure about the leaves, there is another plant with fluffier flowers whose name slips my mind- someone else will know!

Spirea? was what I was trying to think of, can't find a good picture. My RHS book says it has alternate leaves, and has a pic. of Spirea Japonica var. Anthony Weaver which would be worth trying to google, but there are lots of varieties.
